Affordable housing and HMOS Posted by

An application has been submitted for a HMO. The design and access statement states that the provision of affordable housing is not required as the HMO are for the private rental market and would be unviable.

Could anyone offer advice on this please?

Thanks

I thought affordable housing policy was only relevant to physical development (i.e. new builds and the like)?

How can it be applied to a use class change (assuming your query IS regarding a use class change)? There's no "physical development" to influence...
