Our meetings

Our political governance structure is one of the key mechanisms through which LGA members shape and direct the LGA’s decision making. Find out about our meetings and those elected members that lead them.

LGA Articles of Association, Governance Framework and Forward Plan

The Articles of Association and Governance Framework set out the purpose and aims of the LGA and the Forward Plan provides a rolling three month view of the work programme of the LGA Board, Executive Advisory Board and Councillors’ Forum.

Members' allowances and expenses

Councillors who attend LGA meetings and undertake various approved duties of the LGA are eligible to receive allowances and expenses depending on their role.

Special Interest Groups

The Local Government Association (LGA) Articles of Association allows member authorities with common characteristics to form groupings of authorities to express a sectional interest.
